Katyayani Organics
Bio/Organic Insecticide
Katyayani Beauveria contains spores and mycelial fragments of a beneficial fungus commonly known as “white muscardine fungus.†It is widely used for managing insect pests and is available in both wettable powder and liquid formulations.
Mode of Action
When the spores of Katyayani Beauveria come into contact with the outer surface of the target insect pest, they germinate and penetrate the insect’s body through natural openings. Inside the host, the fungus multiplies, consuming nutrients and ultimately leading to pest control within 7 to 10 days. Katyayani Beauveria works on contact and does not require ingestion by the insect. It helps improve crop health and overall productivity by reducing pest populations. It is also environmentally safe and supports ecological balance.
Most Effective Against
Katyayani Beauveria is effective in controlling pests from various groups such as Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, Hemiptera, Hymenoptera, and Diptera. It targets borers, cutworms, root grubs, mealybugs, leaf insects, whiteflies, aphids, thrips, banana pseudo weevils, and others.
Dosage & Method of Application
Katyayani Beauveria can be applied through foliar spray, soil application, or drip irrigation. The standard dosage is 20 g per plant.
Soil Application: Mix 3–5 kg of Katyayani Beauveria with 200 kg of organic manure and apply uniformly to moist soil (1 acre). For tree crops, mix 20 g with 1 kg of organic manure and apply at the base.
Foliar Spray: Mix 20 g of Katyayani Beauveria in 8 liters of water or use up to 10 kg per hectare. Spray on foliage during evening hours, targeting the undersides of leaves for best results.
Drip Irrigation: Mix 20 g per liter of water, filter the solution, and apply through the drip irrigation system during pre- or post-planting stages. Application is recommended during early morning or late evening.
