Mode of Action:

1. Competition:Bacillus subtilis competes with pathogenic fungi for space and nutrients on plant surfaces and in the soil.

2. Antibiotic Production: The bacteria produce antifungal compounds that inhibit the growth of fungal spores and hyphae.

3. Induced Systemic Resistance (ISR): It triggers the plant's defense mechanisms, enhancing its resistance to fungal infections.

Dosage:

• Soil Application: Mix 1 - 2 liters of Bacillus subtilis per acre with 200 kg of FYM/compost and broadcast in the field at land preparation, sowing, and standing crops. Apply light irrigation post-application.

• Foliar Spray: Mix 5 - 10 ml of Bacillus subtilis in 1 liter of water and spray on both sides of the leaves at the first sign of disease. Repeat every 7-10 days.

Important Recommendation: 2-3 applications at 7-10 day intervals are recommended, with more applications depending on disease incidence.
